Digital signatures are secured electronic signatures

There is a big difference in Digital signatures and electronic signatures. Digital signatures are secured electronic signatures. These applications are used for signing a document digitally. Electronic signatures are image representatives of hand written signatures. It is easy to copy electronic signatures because they are not that secure as digital signatures. Any person other then signer cannot copy or paste digital signatures.

After the signing of a document digitally it becomes read only document and no one can alter the content or anything from that document. This is a main property of digital signatures which make it distinguishable from other signing methods. An easy way of signing a document with authenticity is given by digital signatures.

Electronic signatures are not that secured because of the properties which govern it. Electronic signatures can be altered by any fraud easily where as digital signature are used with the help of a private key which is a set of information to validate a signature.
